cheap version of Dennys but the locals love it
DESCRIPTION: The Bakery is always packed. I dont know why. The food is mediocre and the ambiance is just plain. This place improved when it went to "no smoking". The waitresses Ive encountered are very friendly and personable. I think they've worked there a long time. The desserts in the case near the register are delicious. This place is just like Dennys with its American type breakfasts and lunches. Only its cheaper. A lot cheaper. If I were a movie star, I wouldnt be caught dead in there. But Im not, Im just a girl in Fairbanks. And I go there, and I eat there.

My Favorite Casual/Upscale Dining
DESCRIPTION: I enjoy eating at Christos. The view from the front windows of the bay and the tourists walking by is calming. They have the best Pizza in Seward (Its no NY Famous Rays, but good). They have a diverse menu of surf, turf, mexican, and italian dishes. Service is usually good, but too often its spotty. It always feels like they are understaffed though (drinks are left un-refilled, etc). Prices are Tourist prices. I usually only eat there in the winter when they run local specials.

Real MilkShakes
DESCRIPTION: The Milkshakes and Malts were awesome. My boyfriend ordered a large and got a large beer mug full of delicious Malt. The food is like regular fast food.

MMM Onion Rings
DESCRIPTION: C and J is a good place for fast food. And its real food, not fake or plasticy. You can get great milkshakes, onion rings, fries, chili burgers. MMM. But it is not fancy. And the place honestly can use a good scrubbin'. It reminds me of Sonic, only older, and more homey. They are open late. Dont take a date here until you know that they are the down-to-earth type. It is not fancy or glamorous in any way.

Never expected this in Seward
DESCRIPTION: Theres both an Apollo I and an Apollo II. Walking in feels very Greek like. The menu reminds me of your typical NY Greek Diner but without the pastry/cookie case in the front. The menu is very diverse, surf, turf, pasta, greek specialities. All of it has been good. The pizza sauce is a little too peppery for my taste. The Apollo changed hands this past year so I dont know what plans the new owners have for the resturant. See the other location for takeout near the Small Boat Harbor.
