A family atmosphere
DESCRIPTION: Cafe Bagel is the type of place to stop in for a cup of gourmet coffees or teas and a bagel, relax, and possibly see one of your neighbors rushing in for an order to go. A breakfast/luncheon place where families can bring their children and seniors can read their newspapers. There are a variety of hot egg and bagel sandwiches every day but in the fall months, they have Pumpkin Bagels that go great with the walnut raisin cream cheese! In addition, they have wonderful lunch sandwiches.

DESCRIPTION: Panera is a nice middle-groud between fast food and restaurant dining. You place your order and pay for it up front, pick it up (usually soon after ordering), and take it to a table. I like their selection of salads, soups, and sandwiches. They have a bunch of coffee drinks, but as I'm not a coffee drinker, I can't comment on them. They always seem quick. The food is reliably fresh and yummy. I was glad to see that Panera recently added desserts to its menu, which was one gaping hole I had noticed. I was disappointed with the new Green Iced Tea they began offering recently; it was super-sweet and not at all what I had expected. I much prefer the frothier I.C. Honeydew Green Tea. I find their atmosphere of warm-toned decor and understated jazz background music to be welcoming. It always feels comfortable there.

The Worst Service Ever
DESCRIPTION: Okay, so you walk in, see something you like and order it, right? Wrong. When I went to La Madeline, you walked around for half an hour trying to get the French guys to get you your food. The system stinks, and I reccomend that no one ever go there.

Incredible Restaurant
DESCRIPTION: I have gone to this restaurant and have never had anything but wonderful service. The waitstaff is friendly, and the food is incredible. Go with an appetite, and enjoy the food. The tomato bisque is to die for.

DESCRIPTION: Home of the utterly clueless employee. Order tea and get a shot of expresso! Don't like coffee? They don't care! They put a shot of expresso in everything! Fine if you want coffee, not so fine if you like tea. And they kept my $2.50, too.

Incredible!
DESCRIPTION: I have 10 year old memories of the cream filling in their enormously generous eclairs. We drove 30 minutes each way from campus to get one of those babies. I'm still trying to recreate the recipe.
