Rude Staff
DESCRIPTION: My date and I ate at the bar. Food was good and reasonably priced but the bartender was rude to us, presumably because we were not the usual, well-heeled, yuppie regulars. Stay away from this bar if you aren't dressed in Old Navy or American Eagle or don't know the bartenders. The place reeks of Neveau Worthington snobbery.

Rude Hostess
DESCRIPTION: Food was great, server was great, hostess was extremely RUDE. Completely ignored my husband and I for at least 5 minutes, then when she called out someone's name, I said can we get our name on the list? She said, in a minute and made us wait. Extremely RUDE!

DESCRIPTION: Love the Old Bag of Nails Pub! Fish and chips are spectacular! Love the theme, but I hope this isn't going to become a "family bar" type place like Max & Ermas. When you go to a pub/sportsbar to eat, the last thing you want to see is a grubby kid eating fries with ketchup all over him!

BEST RESTAURANT EVER
DESCRIPTION: This place is great. I am assuming that the rest of the food is great (I have only had the fish). If you're a first-timer, get the fish. It comes in planks a foot long, NO JOKE! The fish and chips are very reasonably priced (only about $9 for 2 planks of fish and some fries). Even the childrens fish and chips is large enought for an adult. I also thought the fried Snickers bar was an interesting twist. One thing though, stay away from the wings (they are very small and are ridden with large bones)!

DESCRIPTION: My job keeps me on the road every day here in Central Ohio, so I get to eat out every day. I happen to be a regular at the Gahanna location and have been to the Hard Road location several times! I love it! What more can I say. Staff is always eager to please. They make sure the food is prepared correctly, before they serve it to me. My drink is always full. I have tried several menu items (not all) and have no complaints! Keep up the great work!

DESCRIPTION: This is gonna be long and critical: Avoid this dump unless you're already 2 sheets to the wind when you enter. Hosts and hostesses are rude and apparently English is not their first language nor did they study it in school. You'll never guess who your server is - at least 3 people will stop if you hail them down and say they will give your order to your server. Then prepare to wait 1/2 to 1 hour to eat twice-fried food or soggy sandwiches. That's after waiting for a table because we all look alike to them. Don't bother to make a reservation - they'll screw it up anyway.Last Saturday our Red Hatters group went to Franklin Park Conservatory to see the Amazing Chocolate Tree which may be touring presently. Neither my daughter or I eat chocolate and she had to work so we joined the ladies for lunch. No fun! The last time I was in that Old Bag of Nails it was called BJ Young and owned by a friend and his son. The occasion was the wake for the father. Imagine! a wake being fun...chance to see lots of old friends and relatives of friends. Restaurant/bar had a lot more charm back then - they made up an imaginary person BJ Young and printed all sorts of "facts" about him on the menu plus the owners' cousin-in-law/aunt was the cook with unusual comfort food on the menu. Menu now is quite pedestrian. Old Bag of Nails recently backed an initiative on the ballot in Westerville, the birthplace of the WCTU, and dry for eons. Locals were up in arms when the issue passed with flying colors. Alcohol will bring in business but, alas, the food won't. Plus there was a mixup on the reservations with about 4 Red Hat groups coming in and they thought it was only 1. Hopefully there won't be red hats there again. This restaurant/bar was previously known as Muddy Creek because it's on the banks of Alum Creek but I remember it longest as the Broad Nel (close to corner of Broad St and Nelson Rd), which was on my tee-totaller mother's list of no-no places and she went ballistic when I was a teenager and my friend's older brother took a group of us girls there for Cokes after a basketball game. I guess he's finally forgotten the reaming she gave him - he died a few years ago
