Kebab/Naan Heaven in Arlington
DESCRIPTION: Excellent charcoal grilled boneless chicken tikka kebabs with heavenly tandoor oven baked naan flat bread, served with Raita and salad plus other lamb, beef and mixed kebabs plus daily curries and rice, curried veggies. Consistently good simple Paki-Afghan fare. A great buy and a favorite with us for many years! No atmosphere, you buy at counter and they shout your number when it is ready but so what? You see people from the hippest guys and gals to veiled women just off the boat and their protective menfolk and everyone in between! A visual treat to try to guess where they are from. The Durrani family (and their staff) who own and run it are the nicest and most hospitable people you could meet in a restaurant like this.

Zingy and zippy
DESCRIPTION: While we were perusing the menu in the window, a woman waiting for a table leaned out the door and announced, "You must eat here. It's really good." Judging from the line of waiting diners with their noses pressed to the window next to our table, all of Inner Richmond agrees. The food is tasty, hot, and fresh; though if you're used to more common Indian food, the spicing may seem peculiar. Vegetarian samosas arrive deep-fried, piping hot, and flaky. Lentil curry and shrimp curry were both appealingly tangy; however, Burmese na'an is more reminiscent of pita bread. If you dine out so that you can order different dishes than your companion, be warned: all entrees are served family style, so you must either share or eat in shifts. (The menu does not warn about this, and servers are unwilling to vary the routine.) Tables are grouped tightly and noise is constant. Attempts at ambience (faux finished walls and hanging masks) and white tablecloths put the price range for smallish entrees around $9.50 -- affordable but not the best bargain in town.

DESCRIPTION: I think this restaurant has excellent food. I have tried some good Thai restaurants. This hidden one in Whittier is the one you MUST try.

DESCRIPTION: Burma Restaurant is the worst restaurant in China Town. The food tastes like it came from a can. The curry is awful. The noodles were mushy. The fish soup was the most disgusting smelling and tasting thing I have ever been served at a restaurant. It looked and smelled like they put a few rotton fish in a blender. 3 people tried it and nobody would take more than one spoonful. Out of 7 people from the office who ate at Burma, only one person thought it was ok. The other 6 were completly disgusted with their meals. Don't waste your money on this garbage.

This place is great.
DESCRIPTION: I eat out a lot and this is probably my favorite place to eat. I am a vegetarian, and the Mango Soybean is probably my all-time favorite vegetarian meal - Cafe Mingala had me addicted to it. Also, the prices are very good. i took my parents (who are not vegetarians) here and they also loved it.
