Pagliacci's: Worth a Trip from Anywhere
DESCRIPTION: Several years ago, a friend landed a new job working in the Hartford area. Knowing that I am always on the lookout for new Italian eateries, she enticed me to visit by bragging about Pagliacci's Restaurant in Plainville. Although skeptical, I made the trip from Albany, NY, to visit my friend and try this fabled bistro. That was ten years ago, and I haven't stopped raving about the place since. Without question, this restaurant has since provided me with the best dining experiences of my life. I have made it a point on many occassions to visit Pagliacci's, often turning around and heading back to Albany afterwards. The pasta is handmade on location, and provided in more than ample portions. No one,in my experience, has ever left Pagliacci's without leftovers. Fresh bread is, of course, provided with the meal. The staff is always courteous and happy to help in any way, and the restaurant itself provides for a lovely dining experience. In my estimation,however, the centerpiece of the Pagliacci's experience must be their exquisite sauces. The meat sauce, in particular, is prepared and spiced to perfection. Without hesitation, I whole-heartedly recommend Pagliacci's Restaurant to anyone and everyone, from near or far. You will not be disappointed.

Hear, hear!
DESCRIPTION: My mother first introduced me to this restaurant when I was little. I had almost forgotten about it when my husband and I drove by one day while looking for something. I immediately recalled the wonderful fresh pasta. I implored him to try it with me and we have been there now 3 times in the last year. We usually share a meal AND WE STILL LEAVE WITH LEFTOVERS!!!

DESCRIPTION: Great italian cuisine, not the pasta and tomato sauce variety, but more northern italian with more meats. Nice atmosphere, though the tables are too close to my liking.

Best Chinese food delivery but that doesn't say much
DESCRIPTION: Very consistent, good chinese food. Delivers in a timely manner and the food is always hot and good. They don't use much seasoning, though, so you'll have to ask for extra soy sauce and duck sauce when ordering.

DESCRIPTION: BeeBee's serves breakfast anytime you wish - and it's pretty good, too! Consistently good pancakes, solid service and great ice cream. Specials that are home-cooked style.

Service
DESCRIPTION: I was very disappointed in the service that I received at the Norwich restaurant. The restaurant wasn't busy and I had to still wait for the waitress to come back to the table I was occupying. My elderly mother was so upset that she was going to go to get the waitress! The only good service is when you first get there. After that it's a waiting game.

Cherrystones
DESCRIPTION: We come to Cherrystones every year for our anniversary. We travel over an hour for their Beef Wellington. They are one of the few restaurants to offer this exceptional entree. Their prices are extremely affordable for the quality.

Fond Memories
DESCRIPTION: My parents, aunts, uncles, cousins and I loved Cherrystones even BEFORE it was Cherrystones. I remember it as ALWAYS having been the greatest place: Everyone is so accommodating, kind, caring. When I go there now, with so many family members gone, I have such fond memories!

Disappointing - Never Return
DESCRIPTION: The atmosphere and food belie the relatively high prices - higher than first class restaurants in the area. It is noisy and crowded. My bill was padded - no apologies when I asked for corrections. Will never go there again and will discourage friends from patronizing it.

Cherrystones is a fun place
DESCRIPTION: The people there are kind and caring to what a customer wants. It is definitly a place to go after work to unwind with a good cocktail and good friends. it reminds me of the tv show cheers because the staff there takes the time to get to know you.
