Bethany's Java Joint Wonderful Place to Gather
DESCRIPTION: We meet there nearly every week to play cards and enjoy the great chi-tea. The ambiance is laid back and the decor is homey yet trendy, and the collection of artwork on the walls is a nice touch.

Great for Friends
DESCRIPTION: This is one of my favorite places to go with my friends. It's great for just hanging out with your friends. They have wonderful coffee, and their sandwiches are fabulous as well. Another thing that I thought was great is that they had some fabulous art work for sale. If you haven't been there (or even if you have...) you should seriously check it out.

Neighborhood Association Christmas Dinner
DESCRIPTION: 65 members of our neighborhood association enjoyed a wonderful Mexican Christmas dinner at the Java Joint recently. This annual event has always been at one of our member's home. The Java Hut provided us with a homey atmosphere and great service along with accommodating all our special requests. Jorge reserved the entire facility for our 2 hour party. Great experience. No preparation, no clean up, just a nice opportunity to renew our acquaintances and celebrate the Christmas season.

La Java Joint

Hippest Place in Harrisonburg
DESCRIPTION: Cool environment, great crowd, and the hottest drinks in town. Largest martini menu I have ever seen.

Worst Place in Harrisonburg
DESCRIPTION: I refuse to go back to The Artful Dodger. The restaurant was dirty, grimy, and I felt uncomfortable sitting in the filth. The entire restaurant was smoky and I left the place with my clothes and hair smelling terrible. The service was appalling; the staff was impolite, badly-mannered, and disrespectful. The restaurant in its entirety was a disgrace to the restaurant business and The Artful Dodger is a humiliation to the city of Harrisonburg.

Greatest place in town
DESCRIPTION: Complementary refills on coffee would be great! But otherwise there is little I would like to see change in this colorful little corner of the 'burg. The staff is perhaps the friendliest I ve ever come across, the food is great and the ambiance hard to beat. I wouldn't recommend it to people suffering from severe personality deficiencies but to the rest of you I say; you just have to check it out.

Fabulous Authentic Family-Style Italian
DESCRIPTION: If you have never been to Tattonis, run, don't walk, to get there! Excellent food. There is no printed menu, you will hear the 20 or so specials and choose from them. Your meal will start with an incredible antipasto with bruschetta on the side. Then you will enjoy a pasta course, with your choice of 5 different sauces. Next, your main dish will arrive, and I recommend the Roast Pork or Roast Chicken - it will melt in your mouth! Finally, dessert and coffee. Great wine list and full bar, too.

Less than I expected
DESCRIPTION: This little tavern is clean but run down and the food is nothing to write home about. The prices were high for the home-style food they served, and it was not worth the visit. <P> Like most of these Trenton places, the food was OK, the service was OK, and the prices were bad. We had the shrimp dinner which featured some small shrimp in a bland butter sauce. Low quality shellfish. The salad was Iceberg, and the Italian meats were of a low quality. The house chicken was quite good, but the pasta and sides were nothing to write home about. I suppose if you want to pay $60 for a better-made-at-home meal for two you should go here. <P> They could cut their prices by $5-7 across the board and they would be serving a good value for the price. At the current prices it was not worth the hype.

Tattoni's is the Best
DESCRIPTION: Tattoni's is the best place in Trenton. Joe must be used to jar sause like Ragu. If you don't like the places in Chambersburg stay at home and keep eating at McDonalds.

The Best Around
DESCRIPTION: Not only is Tattoni's the best around, it's the closest to home-cooked food you can get in the area. The staff is very family-oriented and will accomodate you as best they can. Natually, Friday and Saturday nights are their busiest nights, and without a reservation, you can expect to wait a while for a table, but it is MORE than worth the wait. We have returned to Tattoni's many times (recruiting new diners each time we go) and have never been disappointed. The antipasto and bruschetta to start off your meal is second to none. The Chicken Cacciatore is the house special and melts in your mouth! The tiramisu is the best around, so try (if you can) to save room! Like other Chambersburg establishments, you cannot be shy here -- the seating is tight, so be expected to converse with everyone. Very family-like!

Good Coffee
DESCRIPTION: This is the only shop open on Sunday morning. That is how I found it! Their coffee is good and the home made cinnamon buns are tasty! Try the chocolate raspberry or the daily special!

Carvel Sundae Dasher
DESCRIPTION: I just tried one of their sundae dashers tonight, and it was GREAT!!! Chocolate ice creams layered with crushed Reese's peanut butter cups, fudge, and peanut butter sauce, and topped with whipped cream and chocolate sauce. It was really rich, but I loved it. They have like 5 or six different kinds to choose from. This place really rocks!

Love Carvel!
DESCRIPTION: I just had a Carvel yesterday, my first for 2006! I grew up on Carvel Ice Cream and have to say, it is among the best ice creams and it's all made fresh by the owners. If you haven't tried Carvel, you don't know what you are missing. Don't forget to try their chocolate crunchies for a topping!

DESCRIPTION: We found this restaurant by accident when looking for our way back to I-81 and have always tried to make it here at breakfast time for the best bacon we've ever eaten.

Southern Style Breakfast
DESCRIPTION: I live in NY. The rest of my family lives in Florida. Whenever we go to visit them, we always stay in New Market on the way down and on the way back. Great Atmosphere, Great service
DESCRIPTION: Just happend to come across this wonderful place on our travels. You are immediatly transported back in time with its decor and the locals that frequent this place seem to be pentioners who spin thier yarns with each other. Large extended families seem to gather here also. The service was great. We had an old-time waitress (probably a working mother) who, with her southern drawl worked our table endlessly with a friendly attitude. My daughter and I ate out every night for 10 days on our trip, this waitress got the biggest tip. The food was great. If you can imagine your grandmother cooking dinner for you with homemade recipes and always giving you a healthy portion, well this is it. I can't say enough. Good dining is good food and good atmoshere. This is it!!
