Simply Wonderful
DESCRIPTION: I tried this restaurant this morning. I had the DIRTY DOCTOR and the BLT ROLLER. These are not your ordinary sandwiches. The roller was wrapped in a tomato and basil tortilla with lots of crisp lettuce and some tomato. The DIRTY DOCTOR, which I ordered on french bread, had baked turkey, roast beef, chedder cheese, avocado, horseradish cream and some BBQ sauce. The sandwiches are pressed with a panini grill making them super yummy. I also had a chance to sample six different side dishes, and I particularly liked the potato salad,macaroni salad, and the pickled veggies.

New Restaurant in BitterRoot Valley
DESCRIPTION: I tried several dishes from lunch and dinner; always good flavor, beautiful presentation, fresh large portions and cooked as ordered. Menus and more information on web page. Very clean, 2 room (with fireplaces), restaurant with nice jazz playing in the background, an attractive old Victorian home turned into a comfortable "new California-Mediterranean" style restaurant.

Great food, if you can ever get it served!
DESCRIPTION: I was a virgin to the Wolfgang Puck restaurant experience, but knew that I liked their frozen foods. A group of 4 decided to check out the place. Two of them were skeptical "All-American meat and potatoes" types. It was mid-afternoon and the place was less than 1/3 full. That didn't mean we got prompt service though. We waited quite a while before anyone showed up. When the food did arrive, we were all very pleased. The skeptics were converted when they realized that a cheeseburger or a sandwich can be just sustenance or it can be a pleasure to the senses. Of particular note was the spinach salad with apples that three of us shared. It was 4-star, and I don't usually get excited about salads. Dessert was a problem. We ordered a warm chocolate truffle cake, which was rich and exquisite. Apparently it has to be cooked because we waited at least 15 minutes, without any sight of the waitress in the meantime. I should mention that we had also ordered coffee which didn't arrive until the dessert did. There was no explanation as to why she had vanished or why it took such a long time. One other thing that's a personal issue for me: chairs. What good is a chair that looks good if the diner is uncomfortable? The chairs were small and had wooden uncontoured backs. I almost felt like I was in the plastic booths at McDonald's. Okay, the food was excellent, but they really need to work on their service.

Much better this time!
DESCRIPTION: Well, it took me 4 years but I went back. (The Jan 23 2001 review is also mine.) I had quite forgotten about the bad service but did remember the good food. This time, the service was very good. We got seated immediately, and our waiter took good care of us. He was able to help us with our questions, and offered suggestions, since there were two indecisive sisters dining. We wound up ordering just two items and shared them. The first was a vegetable salad. This basically was all sorts of fresh chopped vegetables served cool. Even splitting it, we both had plenty. We also ordered panini, a grilled sandwich. Excellent! I am pleased that they seem to have made an effort to improve service (most of the AOL/Digital City reviews from 2001-2002 mentioned bad service). The chairs, though they may be different, are still not particularly comfortable. But the food was great!

DESCRIPTION: This is one of our favorites in Palo Alto. The food is fresh and the atmosphere unpretentious. The menu changes with the seasons, so there is always something new and interesting (along with the regular favorites). Sunday brunch is a treat!

DESCRIPTION: Authentic Cali style taqueria right on Brooklyn's Seventh Ave. A funky and well maintained restaurant with the best Mexican food served to the familiar classic rock soundtrack. This restaurant has stickers and posters of every rock group, hippie legend and a constant 104.3 classic rock station that bring you way back when. The food is spicy hot and quick. Although the lines for this hot spot can get long the short wait is always worth waiting. When I bite into a huge (bigger than my face) shrimp fajita burrito. The cooks are nice and fast and not too tacky. Over all: it kicks a**! (also it's a great munchies spot.) peace always!

DESCRIPTION: Its really hard to say more than....the best burritos on the face of the planet. I have always been completely satisfied by their service and their yummy food. There is an abundance of wonderful cheeses and wraps. I give Taqueria many*************.

A Must See
DESCRIPTION: A little pricey but the best food value in the Disney area. The food is composed of ingredients which are rarely combined, but the flavors are usually excellent. Menu is posted outside, but you may just walk in & look around. Bar prices are among the HIGHEST in the area (over $5 for a 16oz domestic draught beer).

DOWNWARD CHANGES
DESCRIPTION: Things have just changed at one of my most beloved of favorites. It is with great regret that I discovered (at lunch) there today, that the facility has been taken over by Levy Restaurants. Levy is self promoted as ... food providers to "stadium and arena clubs, concessions, convention centers, and racetracks worldwide" (see links) My disappointment was overwhelming. Total degradation. The quality has dropped and prices skyrocketed. How's a child's grilled cheese sandwich go for $5; a child's mac n cheese for $6 ??? The adult can still have lunch for under $20! The attendance was thin ... a Spartan atmosphere. The building is now dirtier than before, the staff looks tired and unhappy (as opposed to the bustling past) and I was just there 6 months ago!!! The warm, home-like atmosphere has vanished. I will write again if I know The Phoenix rises....
