DESCRIPTION: This place is incredible. The atmosphere is upper class but not stuffy. The wait staff is highly attentive and the food is beyond wonderful. Highly recommend this restaurant for any special (or not so special) occasion.

A Boulder County Tradition
DESCRIPTION: Upon entering the premises of this Boulder county tradition, you are greeted by the ebullient German host, Andrea Liermann. Andrea s personal touch is what has made this restaurant special since 1977. The establishment is fashioned in the style of old Bavarian hunting lodges lots of wood and animal trophies adorn the walls. The burning fire in the corner and cozy warm atmosphere floods over you as you prepare yourself to order. Andrea s kitchen is known for its fresh and natural cooking. Everything is made from scratch. Most of the German dishes, brought directly over from the family estate, use recipes that have been followed for many generation. Along with the old world classics, Andrea s serves an appetizing variety of dishes. Her chefs have a wide range of lighter and healthier menu items that support and compliment the more traditional dishes. On most weekends there is live old country-stlye music, and a favorite to always keep in mind are the three weekends of Oktoberfest in the fall. Come to Andrea s and experience her lighter touch in European and American cuisine.

DESCRIPTION: Created by two chefs who broke away to open their own place. Small and slightly pricey but everything is fresh and delicious.

Food great, Service Lacking.
DESCRIPTION: I made reservations for my wife and me at this restaurant for my birthday on Saturday, December 2003 at 5:00pm. The person that took the reservation said there would be something special for my birthday. Just let me say that the food, presentation, and support staff were excellent. Our server must have had an off night or was preoccupied. First he forgot to ask my wife for her drink order, so I let him know she would like Ice Tea, after he had dropped off my scotch sampler. Then he forgot her drink & asked after we received the first course, if he had forgotten her drink, I said yes and reminded him it was ice tea. Then when we ran out of the raisin toast for out duck pate', he said he would get us some, but never returned. In the interim two other support staff members inquired if they could get us toast, but we said our server is getting it for us, finally after waiting awhile someone else arrived with it. At this point, we just chalked this up to an off night. Then we saw other guest's receive their birthday heart plaque at the end of the meal and wondered where was mine. So tactfully, I let the server know that I would like a copy of the menu that said happy birthday on it to me. Also, we ordered a cr me Brule desert. The desert arrived, but with no silverware. So we waited awhile and our server came and apologized about not being there with the silverware. And at the end he arrived with the menu, but no heart plaque. On the way out I mentioned this to the two hostesses, and they verified that it was noted on my reservation that it was my birthday and I should have received the heart plaque, and said the server should have known. They apologized, and my wife & I left. Overall, the experience was a little disappointing. Thanks.
