Not so great
DESCRIPTION: We've visited this cafe three times in three months. While the food was ok, the service was often lacking. One meal was missing some components and most meals were just barely lukewarm. One server was excellent, two were inattentive leaving our coffee cups empty and not asking about the the food.

Like breakfast at home
DESCRIPTION: Great way to start your day is breakfast @ Nifty Fiftys. Everything is home made and served hot and fast. Having breakfast there is a tradition for locals and tourists alike. Also great is their half-pound burger for lunch.

DESCRIPTION: For me, every visit to Hilo starts with a meal at the friendly ambience of Cafe 100. It's always clean, the service always helpful, the meals quick and tasteful. Throw in a great cross section of local singles and families and the it becomes the staple of "being there".

DESCRIPTION: The meals are simple. There is very little fluff, but don't mistake that with lack of substance. What the menu lacks in appearance, it makes up in taste. The service is very good and the restraunt really does portray a diner of by-gone-days. The waitresses are "classic americana without the attitude". The atmosphere is quiet, but that's not always a bad thing. The "regulars" are generally older gentleman who prefer social coffee rather than eating. If you want a good place with good food where you can crack open a book and no one will find you - this is the place.

I like it with some reservations
DESCRIPTION: I have been there over 100 times (so this is a major stake for my family and not the owners that we want to see improvement). The smoking section and counter is where the service can be poor to moderate, while the non-smoking is absolutly great. The main problem is the male staff (their mind is on something else). We have had problems: order was not placed, completely the wrong order was given, the waiter would forget about our table, the salads and soup at dinner would be forgotten. But we always gave a tip. There are times were we would look in the window to see who are servers in the smoking section, and go back to the car to go somewhere else. Although everything is not as bad as they seem, the food is great. But most of the time, the service is fantastic (especially, when the old man shows up (owner)), you can bet that your meal and service are outstanding.

We like it, but has some flaws
DESCRIPTION: We have eaten there many times and also at the sister restaurant "Pasta Bella". The service is either perfect or horrible. The wait is rather long. My biggest complaint is that they cram too many people in making the atmosphere rather pathetic. There are so many tables crammed together even the servers can't get through. The food, however is exceptional. I have never had anything bad here. Some items are overpriced, but the food is unreal and the variety of dishes is unsurpassed. The owner also has a tendency to hire individuals new to this country, and 99% of the time they cannot speak english and you have to point to the menu so they know what you want. When you need a refill of more of something that can be quite a challenge.

Feel Like Family at the Marietta Diner
DESCRIPTION: My husband and I always feel like we are being greeted by Family at the Marietta Diner. We go there at least twice a week, sometimes more. We have been there at all times of the day and have ordered a wide range of selections on the menu. We always know that we will get a good meal, that we can find something to eat whether well or sick, and that we will be warmly welcomed.

One of my favorite places
DESCRIPTION: I love this place -- it's open 24 hours and is always fully staffed. I always sit in non-smoking, and have never had a complaint about the service. I eat at the Diner at least weekly. The menu is amazingly diverse, the food is always good. The desserts have a reputation all their own, and are out of this world. It is busy much of the time, and you sometimes have a wait, but to me it's worth it. And as for ambiance, what do you expect? It's a diner.

A Definite Family Favorite
DESCRIPTION: Marietta Diner is probably our family's favorite restaurant. We love the variety, food quality, huge portions, and family friendliness (we have 3 small children)of the place. Even our elderly parents have grown to love it and suggest it often. We have NEVER had poor service, and go about once a month. We do sit in non-smoking. We also rarely wait, but make reservations if we have a large number.

24/7 Food for Everyone
DESCRIPTION: No matter what food restrictions or picky eater, there is something for everyone here. I have been going to the Marietta Diner once every couple weeks for years. I have brought friends and relatives here, and the biggest complaint was "They give you too much food!"! On a Friday or Saturday night, expect a wait, but usually they supply snacks in the lobby when there is a crowd. No matter what shift, there is always a manager on duty to stop by & ask how everything is, or even the owner when he is in. The only problems with service are the occasional foreign waiters that don't speak very good english. (I request special orders a lot) Definitely bring your appetite or make room in the fridge for leftovers!

No matter what, you'll find something you like
DESCRIPTION: I absolutely love this place. As a student at SPSU (the college just around the block), this was a perfect place to go no matter the hour. Even on a college student's budget, one can find great food. Rarely have I found the service to be poor, though the smoking section does tend to get very crowded. The food is always great and the 13 page menu always has something new to try. If you want great food for a reasonable price, this is your place.

DESCRIPTION: We eat at the Marietta Diner just about every Sunday after church. The food is always great and the desserts are even better. They do crowd a lot of folks in but hey it's a diner!!! The service is good almost all of the time, though sometimes it is hard to communicate with the staff. We bring our family when they come to visit and order desserts for special occasilons. MD is A++++++++ in our book!

You have to be able to find something you like on this menu
DESCRIPTION: We love this place. The owners are Greek and Italian, and the food reflects it. You can have anything your heart desires 24 hours/day. Besides the awesome several page menu, they have a page of different specials daily. Sometimes they have made specials for us that were not on the menu (when they are not crowded). I am always suspicious of people who say they do not like this diner. If you ate every meal out for 40 years, you could not taste all that they have. They always give you free greek spinach pie and bread before your meal. The owners come by and talk to you. The portions are huge and the prices are low. Sometimes we go on a Friday night and take home the leftovers for the rest of the weekend.

Greek Platter Quality has declined
DESCRIPTION: We always have enjoyed the Greek food at the Marietta Diner, but ordered the Greek platter today and found it not as good as in the past. The spices in each of the three major items seemed to be missing and they were made differently than in the past. The spinakopita just tasted like spinach. The pastichio and moussaka were large servings and topped with what seemed to be an excessive amount of cheese, but it was all relatively bland. The salad was dry, with no dressing at all, and different than in the past. We were disappointed.

DESCRIPTION: I personally believe that Milt's is the best restaurant in existence, and I eat there every chance I get. The food is extremely tasty, and the drinks are refreshingly delicious. I would recommend that you try it at least once while in Moab.
