Consistently good food, but...
DESCRIPTION: Consistently good food as far as diners go, excellent service, but I'm not a big fan of their decor. That sounds really silly, but it's very bright with high ceilings, pastel colors, and very plastic-y. The end result is a somewhat cafeteria feel. Don't let this prevent you from eating there. It's a convenient stop on 91 in that wasteland between New Haven and Hartford, 30 seconds off the Cromwell exit, and like I said, the food is consistently good.

Lobster is King
DESCRIPTION: I know you wouldn't automaticlaly think of a diner as a great place to have lobster but the Cypress has the best lobster roll anywhere. These are CT lobster rolls , no mayo just stright up with butter on the side, yum. On the weekends you can also have prime rib which really brings out the crowds. Come early on a Saturday if you want to get a seat or be prepared to wait.
