OMLETTES TO DIE FOR
DESCRIPTION: We've been customers of Grandma Sally's for over 20 years and still aren't tired of their fantastic omlettes. They are huge and puffy and delicious. I know they have a full service menu for all meals, but our family has breakfast there all day long. We live in Aurora and have been trying in vain to convince Michael (one of the owners) to expand way west. Great food!

Great Time...
DESCRIPTION: We were in Chicago for a convention and brought our 42 year old birthday friend there for an evening out. What a blast!!! I wish there was one closer to Springfield. My only complaint is that I wanted to buy another shirt on-line and can not figure out how.

A great place to eat
DESCRIPTION: Have been there a couple of times and had a great time each time. Of course the line up to get in isn't always fun but you expect that from a very popular restaurant. The food was diner-ish but then again it is a diner. The service was very good but not great but then again it is a very busy place at times.

Don't Waste Your Time.
DESCRIPTION: I took the family there. They said it was a 15 min wait. They called our name and we waited another 15 min. After we were seated we waited at least 10 min. for a waiter. After we ordered people sat down in the booth behind us and got their food in about 5-10 min. .... we still didn't have ours! There was a ton of food waiting on the counter at the kitchen but no one was getting the food out to the customer's. Yet they would stop the wait staff to dance on the tables and sing. Other people around us were also very unhappy. We paid $50 (including tip) for two adult meals, two kid meals and 3 milk shakes. We won't be back!

The Rudness of the Staff Is Not Always Funny
DESCRIPTION: I recently was in Ed Debevics with my daughter for her birthday. Well, I know part of the "theme" is supposed to be the rudeness of the staff but, there is a point where it becomes downright ignorant. I asked a question to a staff member and he rudely commented on how he "wasn't my therapist" and "wasn't there to solve my problems". What that had to do with my question on "where to pay my bill" because our server never returned, I don't know. Then other staff members are screaming "Get out of the way". I will never go back there nor will I recommend it ever again. There are too many good resturants with great staff where I'd rather spend my money. [Submitted 03 Aug 2003]

Senior citizens beware of this place
DESCRIPTION: I took a charter bus load of very nice senior citizens (bank customers)there to eat a meal. It was an awful experience....the food was so slow, the wait staff rude (called my group a bunch of "blue hairs" and a waiter told a one of my elderly ladies not to watch him dance because she might "get ideas" and he didn't want her lusting after him). This very sweet older grandmother was very embarrassed and stopped eating then and there. The place is ungodly noisy, people rush back and forth all the time. Some of my people had their food and had finished eating before others were even served....yes, they knew we were coming weeks in advance and should have been ready for us or told us they could not be! The wait staff being sassy can be cute unless it is carried too far and often it is at this place. I really, really disliked the place and will never go there again. Definitely don't take older people in there!!! It is a madhouse....lots of noise and confusion and very poor service and food. Nobody seems to care or do anything about the problems.

best pancakes ever!
DESCRIPTION: Wow. I love this place. So many choices and so little time. My personal favorite is their pancakes. I'm not sure what they put in them, but they're addictive. Yum..... Also, don't leave without trying their homemade soups. Get the cream of mushroom. Awesome. It's a great place and I can see why they have employees that have been there for over 30 years!!!!! P.S. I sat in the booth that J.Lo and Ben sat in. Pretty cool.
