Delicious Food - Generous Portions
DESCRIPTION: I usually order combination plates off the steam table, and that's pretty good. However, this time I ordered black pepper pork chops off their Chinese menu, and I was totally impressed! The entree came with a choice of steamed rice, fried rice, chow mein, or pansit. I chose the chow mein, which the server promptly served my starving son in a cute metal bowl that looked like a wok. When the pork chops arrived soon after, the enormous portion surprised me. They were absolutely delicious with sliced onions, green onions, and lots of garlic. I have enough leftovers to take home for dinner for two! My friend ordered the "Big Island" off the Hawaiian menu, and it consisted of marinated grilled pork, boneless chicken, and beef short ribs accompanied by two scoops of steamed rice, a scoop of macaroni salad, and a slice of pineapple. Her entree's portion was also quite good, but not as enormous as my black pepper pork chops. The beef short ribs were the most delicious of her combination plate. The macaroni salad was laden with lots of mayonnaise and was only so-so. All in all, this is a great restaurant with friendly staff and wonderful food.

DESCRIPTION: I went to Hula's during a vacation to Monterey, and everything was so tasty that whenever I think of going back to that city, I think of going back and ordering their fried calamari appetizer -- tender calamari steaks with a just-sweet-enough sauce. My mouth is watering.

DESCRIPTION: Here is the problem with these advisory websites, thye rarely hit the local spots. By far Hula's is number one with the locals, and when I go on a trip I always want to eat where the locals hang out. Also the only hip restaurant in the county. Great vibe, cool wait staff, great asian/hawaiian influenced food and local prices. Yea, go to one of the top listed restaurants and get ripped off. Go to Hula's and have the time of your trip. I was in there last evening, the ATT Pebble Beach Pro Am has just kicked off. Huey Lewis was in there with a bunch of guys having dinner, then Emmit Smith came in with some guy and sat at the bar. Last month when I was ther Clint Eastwood was sitting with his with and a few other poeple. My hip waitress said he eats there all the time. They should move this place to the top of the list

Sweet Potato fries. Mmmm...
DESCRIPTION: Great decor and ambiance. Plenty of knick-knacks to look at while waiting for your food. The staff is a "younger" staff and very personable. A good selection of unusual dishes on the menu. Plenty to choose from if you're a vegetarian. I had a tofu teriyaki wrap with plantain -- VERY good. I will definitely go back to try the rest of the dishes on the menu. Price is very reasonable. Two main dishes, an appetizer and sodas for around $20. Can't beat that.

GREAT PLACE
DESCRIPTION: Review Date: 14 Aug 2003 What a great place to eat. My husband had the Hula Burger and I had the ribs. Both were out of this world. The ribs were tender and delicious, the best I've had. We were so pleased that two days we treated our aunt and uncle to dinner. Plus we'll be celebrating my parents' 67th wedding anniversary at Honolulu Harry's. The help is really friendly and nice, especially Amber. Amber in Chino that is!

ALOHA Spirit comes to Chino..
DESCRIPTION: 'ALOHA = The Universal Word'.. ...Is the name of the wonderful Eugene Savage 'ALOHA' Painting that graces Chino Honolulu Harry's entire back wall. It was originally painted for the Matson Luxury Steamship Liner Lurline to Hawaii. It also graced my Matson Terminal Front Lobby Wall in Los Angeles Harbor, where I went to work after returning home from the 1st Major Battles of the Vietnam War, as depicted in Mel Gibson's recent "We Were Soldiers" Movie. ...So I very quickly got lost in the unforgettably loving ALOHA Spirit for my next 33 years on the Mainland. ...Our 1st HH Dinner was Sunday night. Our 2nd HH Dinner was last night, Monday night. Our 1st HH Lunch comes Tuesday, today, in about an hour from now. ...Go lose yourself to the ALOHA Spirit on the Mainland, Hawaiian Style. It's right there, right now in Chino, California USA. YOU deserve it.!

Enjoyed the food
DESCRIPTION: Great Food. Sweet Potatoe Stack a genuine winner. Wonton salad superb. Service fair. Inattentive waiter Gary, didn't suggest coffee or desert, but plopped down the bill. Took my money and did not bring back the change. I had to call another waiter over to get a bag for our leftovers and my change! It spoiled the visit for me.
