Best Restaurant in Northwest Indiana
DESCRIPTION: You'd never suspect it from the outside, but inside this small, but intimate establishment is some of the best food I have ever been served. From the Angel Hair Marinara to the blackened steak, we have never had a bad meal here. Not only is the food wonderful, but the wait staff is efficient but not hovering. This is my family's first choice for special occasions.

The people who eat here don't get out much.
DESCRIPTION: The first problem with Anthony s is that they don't know what they want to be. Is it Italian, as the name might indicate, or French, or American? I prefer to think of it as crumby-food fusion. While the sight of degustation offerings on the menu might get your hopes up as to the culinary standards of this restaurant, you ll soon find that the dishes at Anthony s taste like all of their ingredients were thrown together at the last minute and show no regard for the impact flavors have upon one another. Sauces, meats and pastas don t compliment each other, instead; they taste like a series of individual flavors thrown together. In addition, pastas are routinely cooked far beyond al dente and the overall freshness and quality of the ingredients isn t the best . I have been to Anthony s twice and have found each time that my food and that of my guests has been uninspired and less than cohesive. Anthony s offers soup or salad with your entr e, but this isn t enough to make up for the indigestion you ll experience from pricing that s out of line with the overall quality of the dining experience. The bottom line is an much better Italian meals can be had for the same price at restaurants in Merrillville, Lansing and Chicago.

Great food, mad beer and wine selection!
DESCRIPTION: I Stopped in with a group of 5 and never knew Anthonys Cafe existed. It was highly recommended by a friend. I was blown away by the beer selection- 68 varieties, and my wife loved the wine selections, 50+ varieties and most available by the taste and glass. The service was outstanding and the cafe ambiance was the best I had ever seen but the real reason we were there was for the food, I had heard alot but I was sceptical and wanted to judge for myself. The fresh baked Italian peasant bread served with a balsamic and fresh tomato vinagrette fired up my taste buds, Appetizers of Sauteed mushrooms and bruschetta were out of this world, crisp house salads were great and we all ordered a different entrees, I chose the Southern Creole, It had Shrimp, Chicken, Crab and sausage with risotto, wow, It was the bomb! We all split 4 desserts, Bananas foster, Tiramisu, Double chocolate mousse and a very rich and smooth chocolate cake. The coffee was outstanding and I asked the waitress what type of coffee they use and I found out that they make their own Anthonys Cafe blended coffee and they sell it in bags to go, My wife and I purchsed a bag and I think it was only 5 dollars, It was some of the best coffee I had ever had. I still could'nt believe this beautiful cafe was in Highland for 7 years. My wife and I met the Chef and owner on the way out, His name was Tony and he thanked us for our business and we thanked him for the wonderful evening. DESCRIPTION: Good setting, i like the fact that it is located on 4th street where the ethnic restaurants are. Best dishes i have ever taseted. the bread is exceptional and each person gets a free soup....nice... Outstanding vegeterian dishes....

Busy Busy Place
DESCRIPTION: I would suggest that you get there early or make reservations. This was my first time for this type of dinning. The Tibetan Tea was different (buttered and salted). Dumplings made up most menu and where a little oily for myself. I would dine here again.

Best Food in Town!
DESCRIPTION: I eat at Little Tibet at least 3 times a month. Before one morsel of food is on the table, I'm already enjoying myself -- the atmosphere is cozy, the people are friendly, and who can be anything but happy when looking at photos of Tibet and the Dalai Lama? The food is excellent! When I need comfort food, I order the Kham Amdo Thukpa. The thick noodles in this "stew" are the best part of the whole thing! The mo-mos are also amazing -- I prefer the beef mo-mos, but the chura mo-mos (cheese) are also delicious. Beware -- mo-mos are heavy and filling... and messy! While I don't care for Tibetan Butter Tea, some people take right to it. I usually order Coke or jasmine tea. And a mango lassi after dinner (or lunch) is the perfect way to end the meal. I've lived in Bloomington for over 7 years and I haven't found a restaurant that even comes close to Little Tibet!

Charming and wholesome
DESCRIPTION: Delicious and filling food spiced to your request, served in a comfortable and eclectic atmosphere that feels very homey, like a backpacker haven in Nepal on the inside and a low-key high-end granola yuppie restaurant on the outside, especially in the summer when the little white lights are on and the goldfish pond is going. Luscious dinner outside in the summer, surrounded by the scent of jasmine and spices - perfect date restaurant for the budget-minded cosmopolitan Romeo who wants to show that he's not some yoik who takes girls to Chili's. Sometimes the service is bad (from cold and distant to outright rude [...]), but if you bring good company you won't miss a thing.

DESCRIPTION: I found that the wait staff was extremely polite, something that always makes the food taste better. I have never had a bad meal and sitting outside is always very relaxing. Another plus, they cater to local students by offering healthy, filling meals at resonable prices. Definitely one of the best places in Bloomington!

Always satisfied
DESCRIPTION: You will find very few places in the U.S serving this kind of food. The atmosphere is intimate and the walls are cluttered with Tibetan posters and other memorabilia. Despite the humble surroundings, the food is divine. I've never had better salad dressing anywhere (I've even dined outside in the restaurant's garden in the rain just to have the house salad dressing). The chura momo (dumplings with swiss cheese and onions) is a dish that I wake up craving at night. Dine outside when the weather is pleasant.
