DESCRIPTION: This place has the best food and a great atmosphere. I would recommend to anyone in Lafayette and West Lafayette. You can even get it delivered free. And I heard they are going to open up a store in Broadripple this year. I can't tell everything you just have to try it for yourself one bite and you'll be coming back

A must while in Bar Harbor
DESCRIPTION: I had their Tuscan Tenderloin, probably the best steak I've ever had. The soup of the day a roasted red pepper and lobster bisque was velvety smooth and full of flavor. Every thing we ordered was excellent. Mama DiMatteos is located behind the village green in the center of town. We were lucky enough to find it!

a don't miss in Bar Harbor
DESCRIPTION: We were lucky enough to walk off the main st. and discover Mama's. It's a small relaxed restaurant, in the middle of town, without the main st. rush. Our food was excellent. Service friendly and relaxed. Can't wait till our next visit!!

DESCRIPTION: I love this place! It's probablly the best Italian food I've ever had. Their motto is "there is no such thing as too much garlic" and its true! I love garlic, and this is probablly the best place for that!

Vastedi Sandwiches
DESCRIPTION: As a kid growing up on the lower east side of NYC, La Focacceria was one of the places we used to go and eat, We had it all - great pizza and Chinese and just all kinds of foods. So to go to Vinnie's place was just different. What I remember most was the Vastedi sandwiches. Man, were they great. It was an aquired taste but just the same it was one of the best eats in town. I now live in Cleveland but when in the city, the first place I go is Vinnies place La Focacceria on First Ave.

La Focacceria Is Back
DESCRIPTION: Like many East Villagers, I was heartbroken when La Focacceria closed last year. But they have just reopened up the street at 221 First Avenue, between 13th and 14th Streets! With Vinnie's blessing, the former employees are keeping up La Focacceria's 91 year tradition. The food is exactly as it was before. The portions remain generous and the prices are low to moderate. La Focacceria is a friendly, neighborhood place with great food, low prices, and a casual atmosphere.

DESCRIPTION: Great atmosphere and service. Excellent Italian buffet. The actual shows are enjoyable and definitely worth seeing. It was a blast! I couldn't believe that the actors actually came to the table and talked to me.

Ristorante Al Lago
DESCRIPTION: We have made a drive to Dillon several times to have dinner here. The food is excellent and the wait staff very efficient. We enjoy the deck on the nice days and almost always we've had nice weather. We were in a group and almost everyone tried a different veal dish and the Siberian sea bass is another favorite. It's a nice drive from Denver and beautiful restaurant and view.

DESCRIPTION: This place is "Da Bomb"! We found out that it is under new management and decided to make a "special trip".Take it from the boys of New York. It took a lot of pizza tryouts in New England to find a place that has a pie with the qualities that made New York pizza so famous. We found it man!! Question: What exactly is a New York pizza? Answer: 1- It has a crust that does not allow the tip of the slice to point at your knee caps when folded. 2- It should possess qualities that would enlighten your senses in that texture and taste are acting in harmony. A thin crust that has a firm crust layer on the outer surface yet soft on the inner surface. 3- A sauce that neither is overbearing or boring. 4- Cheese that allows just the right amount of oil to show itself on the top - yet does not challenge the Mideast oil rich fields. 5- Can cause a fight when the battle is over the last slice of the pie. (A reason for a lot of gang wars that happened in the Bronx). This is a great find! We may have to move into this neighborhood. We will keep the Yankees back in the Bronx. "Bronx Man" John is a Met fan.

Good Food, Decent Prices
DESCRIPTION: The Good: Nana's provides a casual atmosphere. Overall, the service is good, servers are friendly, and the food is consistent. The fresh-bread is excellent. Nothing fancy here, just good basic italian dishes like lasagna and pasta shells. The pizza isn't for dieters, but is loaded with cheese and toppings and is some of the best pizza I've had. The prices here are very reasonable. You can eat and be full for $10 with tip. The not-so-good: I was somewhat surprised that the servers don't have any type of uniform. Some wear t-shirts and jeans which look tacky. Don't go with the chicken noodle soup...it's a strange combination of broth and lots of water and is so hot you can't eat it until you get the rest of your meal. The fresh bread makes up for the soup. The dinner salads are pre-made and wrapped with plastic so when they are served, they don't have a fresh look. A McDonalds salad is fresher. They tend to smother the salad with dressing so get it on the side.

Bad Service, Bad Prices, Rude Management
DESCRIPTION: I recently went to Nana's with two other friends. After arriving to a table of dirty silverware and plates. We politely asked for glasses of water after receiving dirty glasses and HAIR contaminated water we asked for a manager. The manager came listened to us told us "there's the door don't come back." As if we were the ones who made all the dishes dirty and the eyelashes fall into our water and salad brown. Then the waitress said I didn't want to serve you anyway. Well we will never ever returned I rather pay olive garden prices for great food and clean friendly servers with good management.

DESCRIPTION: Villa Roberto Ristorante has a terrible atmosphere. If it wasn t the blaring music coming across the hall from the private party room, it was the constant sound of a party s loud speaker/microphone 4 tables away. When speaking to management about the problem they seemed to shrug if off. Service was very slow and careless. It took a half hour to get a refill on anyone s drink. The food would have been very good if it was hot and brought out to all of us at the same time. A Very Disappointing Experience.
