DESCRIPTION: Ive tried the Yakiniki and Sesame Chicken and it was great. It filled me up and was worth the price. The sushi was great too!

James Rules
DESCRIPTION: My Girlfriend and i visit Sakura on a regular basis. We have gone for just soup and salad all the way up to $50 worth of sashimi and nigiri. There are other sushi places in the boro, some of which have very good characteristics, but for a very particular reason do we always return to Sakura. The sushi chef and owner, James is what we know him as, has obviously been rolling sushi for a very long time and it isn't merely that he rolls great sushi but that he has many little tricks of decoration and prestentation. It is truly "food art." You can get stuffed there for about $10-$15. five stars all day long.

DESCRIPTION: This hole in the wall sushi place is always great. Masa does all the cutting himself and Kate, his wife, works the floor. You feel like family in ten minutes. And the sushi is melt in your mouth perfect.

DESCRIPTION: This is a must for sushi lovers or those interested in having the best for their first try. Reservations are required, so we are sure to put their number into our cell phones prior to visiting Jackson. My husband and I would eat there every day if we could. Absolutely the best, and we've had great sushi.

Wonderful!!!!
DESCRIPTION: I went here on my birthday not really expecting much, but I had a pleasant surprise. We were attended to instantly. The people were so sweet, and the food was great. However, the best part was the show while they were cooking. It was very entertaining and made every person at the table feel special, expecially me(the birthday girl)!

VERY POOR SERVICE - VIRTUALLY IGNORED BY SUSHI CHEFS
DESCRIPTION: I went to Miyako on my lunch hour at work and the service was very poor even though the restaurant was not that busy. The sushi chefs totally ignored me. I sat for approx. 20 minutes and finally got up, told the hostess I had to leave, that I had wasted almost half my lunch time. She was not very apologetic, just sort of shrugged and said you were supposed to talk to the sushi chef. I told her I had been completely ignored and she just said "sorry". I will not go back. ERM

Monster Sushi & Steak
DESCRIPTION: While driving through Summit the other night, we noticed a very cool looking restaurant on Springfield Avenue and Maple Street, right smack in the middle of town. Well to make a long story short our dinner was nothing short of fabulous. Monster Sushi & Steak offers a huge menu with some of the freshest sushi I have ever had. It seems they are only open less than 2 years in Summit and they are busy. I had a Summit roll which is tuna, yellowtail, salmon, kani wrapped in daikon . Really low carb and refreshing. It's not on the menu but offered as a special. My girlfriend had a grilled sirloin and it was very good and reasonably priced. We will be frequent flyers from now on.

Lunch at Haruki
DESCRIPTION: Recently I have had an appreciation for sushi and the art of Asian cooking. In my opinion, Haruki provides an excellent atmosphere, an educational experience, and a delicious variety of dishes ranging from VEGETARIAN, to Japenese style steak...if your into trying new things, sushi at Haruki may be just the thing for you! Try it sometime...lunch is Mon-Fri till 2:30, and ask for a seat at the bar...thats where all of the action is!

DESCRIPTION: Teriyaki House (Formerly named Arirang) is the ONLY Korean restraunt in Des Moines, and it is fantastic. They serve a good mix of authentic korean and japanese food. Both these types of food are healthy, fresh, and tasty. Korean and Japanese food differ from all the other Asian food in that they are made from scratch and unprocessed food. They are great for those sick of fast, oily, or heavy chinese, vietnamese, or thai food. I recommend Teriyaki House to everyone
