Hibachi in Middletown
DESCRIPTION: My boyfriend and I were a bit skeptical over a restaurant that includes so much, Chinese buffet, hand rolled sushi, Polynesian dishes, and hibachi grill, however we have never had a more pleasant experience and delicious meals than at this diamond in the rough on Washington street in Middletown. Our first hibachi experience was here. The fried rice is absolutely delicious! I could eat mounds of it. They chop up the fresh vegetables and cook it right in front of you. Some seasonings, butter, and a bit of egg later, you have the tastiest meal you can imagine. I've also been to the hibachi in Cromwell, CT (the name escapes me) and Fujiyama's hibachi is by far much better. The wait staff is very attentive and polite. They're always smiling and ready to grab whatever you need. The hibachi chefs are quite proficient, twirling their spatulas and forks with practised ease. My favorite hibachi meal is the filet mignon. Now, I've had the regular steak, chicken, shrimp, and just plain veggie hibachi but the filet outshines the rest. So tender, seasoned with a little sake, some soy sauce, it comes sizzling off the grill straight onto your plate! My mouth is watering right now thinking of it. Each hibachi meal is on the expensive side (15-35 dollars) but this includes soup, salad, heaping entree dish, and ice cream for dessert. Try the red bean ice cream, a subtle flavor, more of an adventure in texture than anything, but very delicious. If you're a bit more adventurous in flavors try the green tea or ginger ice cream. We've also had their sushi on many occasions. The rolls are presented with artistic flair, and have never failed to please our palate. Crisp vegetables, fresh wasabi, and pickled ginger accompany a variety of raw and cooked fish. The edamame has been good and not so good so order that appetizer at your own risk. Overall, we love this restaurant to death for the personable staff and consistantly awesome hibachi and sushi. We've yet to try the buffet but it seems pretty popular with many people that eat there. Check this place out if you're a fan of Asian quisine!

Perfection in Taste Texture and Flavor
DESCRIPTION: Yellow Tail Salsa Rich and flavorful, tastefully presented on Tempura Japanese mint leaves, leaving the palate wanting more! Tuna Carpaccio Sliced as more thinly than it's traditional coounterpart complimented by Ponzsu and scallions Excellent! Too many more to list a definate MUST for traditional and avangarde diners. Service is flawless and drinks from the bar are exceptional 5 star in my book
