Great food
DESCRIPTION: Last Saturday I took my family and some friends to Aladdin. We had a great time, althought this wasn't our first time there but it was the first for our american friends. They enjoyed the food, specialy the Shrimp Kebab & the desserts. The live entertainment and the belly dancer was great. I definitely recommend this place to entertain your guests. we are proud to have a place like this that makes us feel at home.

Amazing
DESCRIPTION: I love this place. Definitely get the hummus and then the Samdan Special Chicken. The hummus comes with a light drizzle of roasted pepper oil and freshly baked pita. The chicken is wonderfully light, with a yogurt and garlic sauce that perfectly compliments poultry. Not exactly a "kid proof" atmosphere, but they are kid friendly. A wonderful place to meet friends for an eclectic bite to eat. Oh, another cool thing: they bring the can of soda to the table, and then bring a BOWL of ICE! Well, I thought it was cool....

AUTHENTIC AND CONSISTENTLY GOOD!
DESCRIPTION: We have been to Turkey several times and we seek out Eastern Mediterranean restaurants in our native New York metropolitan area, so you should do yourself a favor and seek out Samdan! The most enjoyable aspect of this cuisine is the metzelers (the appetizers) and salads. Do try the various eggplant dishes and our favorite, Tarama, a creamy Roe delight -- by dipping with your bread. You are in for a treat, enjoy!

DESCRIPTION: Please add to the above that the ambiance at Samdan is excellent, though not particularly ethnic: chandeliers, soft music, and very accomodating service. We use this restaurant for parties and festive occasions and there is enough variety in the menu for everyone. It is also open on Christmas Eve and doesn't charge special prices.

Escape to an Exotic Part of the World
DESCRIPTION: As soon as you enter the doors of Marakesh restaurant, you leave the unassuming world of strip malls and enter a wonderland for your senses. You're seated on a lush couch with low ornate table and your hands are cleansed with rose water [Don't worry. Al though you can eat with your hands, eating utensils are provided]. The sometimes overwhelmed [if it's very busy] but eager to please waiters start your adventure into Moroccan cuisine with spicy soup [served with the most awkward-to-use spoons], a platte r of salads and garlic pita bread with fresh hummous. My personal favorite course follows: "Bastilla, " a phyllo dough pie filled with shreaded chicken and topped with powdered sugar. The main entree [you can only choose one, remember this is family st yle!] is cooked tangine or kabob style. Ch i cken, lamb, beef, and salmon are your choices of meat. It's followed by the other courses of cous cous, fruit, delicious pastries, and mint tea. If you visit Marakesh on Friday or Saturday, you will be ente rtained by belly dancing [and if you're adventurous, you can join in!]. The best time to arrive on those days is about 7:45 or so. That way you can watch during your dessert. Expect to spend a few hours here. Just relax and enjoy the experience. You wil l either leave completely stuffed or just pleasantly full, as the same amount of food is served whether you are a party of 2 or 3. Call ahead to see if reservations are needed for the day you are interested in. Sometimes there are special events or larg e parties of patrons and you won't be able to get a table. ******** The directions on Marakesh's site are a bit vague. It's on Rt. 46 E. Past the Holiday Inn and past the overpass. It's located on the right side in a small strip mall called Pacific Pavili on, next to a school uniform store. Keep an eye out for it because if you miss it, it's a long way before you can make a u-turn.t

A Gem
DESCRIPTION: Despite the corny Disney-Alladin decor, this place is a gem. Wonderful, authentic, and perfectly prepared food coupled with extremely friendly service. They feature egyptian specialties along with the more common middle eastern dishes. The Chicken Shawarma, made of grilled chicken sauteed with peppers and onions was absolutely delicious. Desserts include the egyptian classic 'Oum Ali'.

My search has ended at Aladdin's!
DESCRIPTION: Our server was warm, friendly, informative and helpful. She helped up pick appetizers and even brought us things that accompanied our food perfectly. The giant bread was unbelievable and the garlic spread is a real winner. The hot sauce is homemade as is most of what they serve. The babaganousch was out of this world, although the hummus was just average in my opinion. The falafel was awesome and the mixed grill was cooked perfectly. I could go on about the rice, the deserts the tea but I think you get the point. If the people didn t make you feel so welcome I assure the location and d cor would not do it on its own. So if you want great food, at a reasonable price, in a strange setting this is the place
