New Restaurant in BitterRoot Valley
DESCRIPTION: I tried several dishes from lunch and dinner; always good flavor, beautiful presentation, fresh large portions and cooked as ordered. Menus and more information on web page. Very clean, 2 room (with fireplaces), restaurant with nice jazz playing in the background, an attractive old Victorian home turned into a comfortable "new California-Mediterranean" style restaurant.

DESCRIPTION: Our experience with Intaba's never ceases to amaze us. Their menu features local pasture raised meats, wild seafood, wood fired pizza, and some awesome desserts! And the ambiance is incredible, with adobe walls, a ten-foot high wood fired clay oven and soft pastel painted walls.

Silver City Brewing Co is more than beer
DESCRIPTION: They serve the best steaks in town. The food is second to none...portion sizes are very big and even the desserts are wonderful (try the brownie sundae...big enough for 4!) Also had the salmon fettucini...also great!

DESCRIPTION: This is my favorite restaurant in Silverdale. The beer and service is outstanding. Try the heffeweisen or the fat bastard. The food is good but I wouldn't say its the best I have had in Silverdale. If you want great service, try the bar. The bartenders are the best in Silverdale also.

Unique atmosphere
DESCRIPTION: This bar's location in a former church gives it a unique atmosphere. The decor is the island theme that seems to be popular in this area, and it's nicely done with whimsical touches. The bathrooms are a bit small and require walking past the karaoke stage, but they seemed pretty clean for a bar. I had a cheeseburger, which was good (though not exceptional), and the salmon chowder, which was very hearty with large chunks of salmon and potato. The food was nicely presented. Gardenburgers are available; my vegetarian partner reported his was quite good. Service was prompt and attentive. Karaoke starts at 9:30 pm every night except Sunday. The selection of songs is excellent.

DESCRIPTION: Arcata Pizza and Deli - referred to by locals simply as APD....so yummy. Large portions, especially the sandwiches....oh my I'm hungry just thinking about it. Three people can share an order of fries, service is great. Can be difficult to get a seat, so if with others, have one guard an area while others order.

Quantity or Quality?
DESCRIPTION: Well, APD is one of those Arcata standbys that every poor food deprived sap in the North Coast has frequented at one time or another. Their hours are perhaps the best part of the experience, as the rest of the town closes at 8:00, while APD is open well past midnight on most nights. But then...oh. Then you have the food. Food is hit or miss at APD, and when you hit, it's really more of a solid tap - nothing spectacular, but it'll fill you up. The misses, on the other hand, are off by a mile. Don't ever order their sausage pizza or you'll be greeted by a large grease laden excuse for a pizza with pounds of sliced Kielbasa dropped on top post-baking. The main thing that APD's food has in its favor is the sheer mass of it. Their calzone, essentially a gigantic cheese pie, is enough to feed, if not an army, a small guerilla force bent on taking over this little hippy town. Their pizza is flat, limp, and soaked in grease; your paper plate will be inevitably stained yellow. That said, if you've spent the day doing something physically exerting, APD can be just the ticket. A whopping quantity of food can be obtained for a price that, while far from cheap, is palatable under the right circumstances.

DESCRIPTION: The main reason APD is popular is that it is open so late. The pizza and food is pretty darn good, but not the best. I have eaten there four times now, and each time I have called in a takeout order and they tell me when to come in. Well, when I am told to come in ten minutes and I do so, only to wait over a half hour more for my food with no apology, it gets old fast. The food is never ready when they say, so go do your grocery shopping and pick up your food that will be ready in "five minutes" in a half hour. If you know to do that, then the place is really very good. The chef salad is excellent, full of meat (I buy a head of extra lettuce to add, you wouldn't believe how much extra lettuce you want to add to this!), and the all meat pizza is way too salty and greasy and I would never order it again despite loving meaty pizzas. There is a good selectiopn of sandwiches, have one on a brio roll.

DESCRIPTION: Okay, my wife decided to drag me down to this silly place called the Hungry Goose Bistro. The very moment I walked in the door, I knew why she did! I was struck by the pure level of class this place has, and it's next to a crummy bowling alley... which is hilarious! The food is just amazing. Guys, forget the Outback Steakhouse, this is the bomb! This restaurant belongs in Tacoma --- Puyallup doesn't deserve it.

MISLEADING coupon and false advertising
DESCRIPTION: The food is average but don't even try and use the coupon that came in the mail. It states "BUY ONE ENTREE AND GET 2ND ENTREE AT 50% OFF". Coupon stated it was good for use any day except Monday. We were there on Tuesday. It did not specify if it was for lunch or dinner, so one would assume it was for either meal time. When I presented the coupon to our server, she stated that it was a misprint and the coupon was only good for dinner time. She refused to honor the coupon. This is dishonest advertising. Any decent establishment would have honored the coupon, chalking it up to their mistake. In return they would have gained a repeat customer and positive word of mouth advertising. Unfortunately, I feel I was taken advantage of and for this reason I will not be returning to The Hungry Goose. I will be sure and let others know to watch out for the misleading mailers from this establishment.

DESCRIPTION: What is up with this place? Who would of thought a classy place like this existed in Puyallup. The food is amazing~ starting w/the wonderful aroma coming from the kitchen. The plate presentation, depth of flavors, and the satisfying taste of fresh ingredients. The lounge is extremely romantic w/an urban city feel. The Martinis... DESCRIPTION: Big town style with home town class. Attention south sound fine dining seekers, the quality of the food is exceptional.This very diverse menu will have you desiring to return. You will never be bored with this menu. The chef is from Belguim,and puyallup should be grateful that he decided to recognize the potential that this bistro has to offer. Plan to make reservations as this restaurant is one of the best places in pierce county. They have some jazz musicians in the northwest. Please make time to visit when the kim archer band is playing, they rock the house. And the bartender makes the best drinks hands down,the martinis are to die for and the prices are very reasonable for the level of quality. Puyallup's oasis. Trust me I give this place 4 thumbs up.

DESCRIPTION: I think this is one of the things that we would expect to find in some place that has a little bit more to offer. For those of us that are not from this area and have moved here this is one of the best finds in the area. Not only is the wait staff professional and courteous but they have a chef that is up there with the best. I have to say this is some place I would expect in Seattle, New York, San Francisco in the upper echelons of resturants. I have been satisfied and gratified with this find in such an unusual area. Definitive West Coast Dining
DESCRIPTION: From beginning to end, the Salishan Lodge offers its patrons a marvelous experience in west coast atmosphere and flavours. The menu is focused on fresh fish and other seafood, as well as specialties like duck and beef. We enjoyed the tuna tartare and crab cakes as appetizers, and followed that with pan-seared halibut with nettle fettuccine, and breast of duck in a berry sauce for main courses. The Baked Salishan was a fitting dessert. A large range of Oregon Pinot Noirs is the centerpiece of the impressive wine list. We were served by the wine steward and custodian of the renowned wine cellar. He was able to direct us to exactly the wine we wanted to match our menu choices. Dining at the Salishan is definitely pricey, but the evening is more than worth it.
