Thank God for Farm House Restaurant
DESCRIPTION: After my vehicle breaking down on the interstate, I had to wait for some help at this restaurant. My help was three hours away. The owner and staff made sure we were taken care of the five hours I sat there. The staff and the food were both above and beyond what I look for in a restaurant. Many thanks to all of them, and keep making that delicious peach cobbler!

If you're in Kansas City, you've got to try it!
DESCRIPTION: An old roadhouse established in 1930, the menu is simple and to the point. This is mamma's food, that will take you straight to the womb. Stroud's has steak, strimp, and fish, but the sole reason to go, is the fried chicken dinner. Served family style, with soup or salad, choice of potato (you have to go with mashed, though boy went with french fries) homemade chicken gravy (boy reports delicious with fries), vegetable, and a cinnamon roll. The chicken has a deep crisp batter, with succulent chicken meat. With all the starch you can eat, dieters should stay away. The rest of us don't want to wait for a table, the only drawback to this marvelous homage to southern home cooking and clogged arteries. To go containers are a given with this meal, and nearly every diner takes advantage. I want me some Stroud's grav-eee!!! NOW!!!

Best waiter I have ever seen.
DESCRIPTION: Being a Huntsville Native I have had the pleasure and displeasure of eating at most of the dine in resturants in the Valley,today when I visited the Blue Plate Cafe on University Dr. I believe I witnessed the most outstanding exsample of team work I have ever seen.My waiter was still in training,but after asking I found out he had previous experience waiting tables before.He was very clean,professional and polite.It seemed his top priority was to take care of my wife and I,yet he was constanly grabbing dishes from other servers to take to the dishroom,helping the bus boys clean tables,pouring ice into the small drink station and taking other people's food to their tables.I know this is how it is supposed to be at a resturant,but not only have I hardly ever seen it actually happen,but this guy was completely focused and left me very impressed with both him and whomever hired this guy.His name was Mike B. and John was his trainer.Mike was in a world of his own though with a purpose driven motive to assist both customers and other staff in such a way I have never seen anywhere in over 40 years.I was so impressed with Mike's ability to perform for perfect that I didn't really pay attention to anything else,but I really enjoyed my visit.

Satisfying Breakfast
DESCRIPTION: My wife & I recently had a late breakfast here and were both well pleased. The menu offered a wide selection of combinations to suit our appetites. Our server was efficient and knowledgeable and had a minute or two to chat if desired. Our meals were served promptly and the food was good. My wife's order of French toast was served with a huge dollop of butter and an individual maple syrup. I ordered a "sampler" breakfast and was impressed with the food variety, quality, quantity and presentation. We left fully intending to return and would recommend the breakfast menu to anyone. Out tab came to around $15.00 and the meal was well worth it.

Good Grub!
DESCRIPTION: Our family recently had dinner here and were well satisfied. We ordered Chicken Fried Chicken, Chicken Fried Steak, and a sampler plate. The food was well prepared and presented, our server attentive and courteous, the atmosphere OK, and the place was clean. A roaring fire in the massive fireplace lent authenticity to the country theme. Prices were reasonable considering the portions serves and the variety of available side dishes. We'll be back!

YUMMY!
DESCRIPTION: The Cracker Barrel is WONDERFUL! If you are looking for some good ol' fashioned American dining, be sure to stop at the Cracker Barrel. I recommend the BLT sandwich and the onion rings. The onion rings are absolutely massive-- be prepared! The place is clean and so is the food-- nothing too fancy (which the kids like) and there's this cool little gift shop attached and it's like an old general store or something. Very interesting. I recommend the Cracker Barrel to anyone who likes good American food.

Cracker Barrel Getting Lax
DESCRIPTION: 4 times in the last month my husband and ate with you all. 3 times my husband asked for pecan pancakes and the pecans were left out. When we pointed it out, they asked if we would like them on top. The first two times he let it go that way, but the last time he asked for new pancakes. One time the server broke a bottle of syrup next to my table and it went all over me. She neither apologized nor brought me a new bottle of syrup; we had to ask another server to bring me one. The manager, however, did offer an apology. Don't rest on your name. You were one of the best; don't let up.

Loved the Rocking Chairs
DESCRIPTION: The best part of the trip to Cracker Barrel were the rocking chairs outside. The food was not very good as far anyone of the five of us that went were concerned. Most of the food was not very flavorful. I may go back to visit the gift shop or purchase a rocking chair but I don't think we'll be eating there again.

Personal touch at Five Senses
DESCRIPTION: Finally, Murfreesboro has an upscale restaurant that's also a fun place to eat! It's a beautiful place, the food is sublime and the owner/chef chased us out to the parking lot to make sure we enjoyed the meal and to invite us back again. And we've been back!
