Great home cooking
DESCRIPTION: I know it was open in the early 70's, but it was just rebuilt and it looks great. Now they serve the same Spanish home cooking menu in a fresh, new, clean and all around much better place. It added a full service bar with happy hour from 4 to 8 pm daily.

Where's the vino???
DESCRIPTION: This place says that it is a tapas restaurant and "Wine Bar." The wine list is pathetic and you'll only find one Spanish red wine on the menu. Compare this with Jaleo's fantastic wine list. You would think that a tapas restaurant, of all places, would understand that Spanish wine provides the best quality to value ration in the market (affording better wines to consumers and better profits to owners). Too bad too, because the food at Anzu is decent and it could be a good addition to Adams Morgan.

Gem in Adams Morgan
DESCRIPTION: Some of the best food in the city - hidden away in Adams Morgan. Staff is friendly, a little inattentive at times, but gracious none the less. Every item on the menu is carefully prepared and absolutely delicious. Great place for a date or a large group.

Great food
DESCRIPTION: The place is a very nice and intimate. The food overall is very good, in particular the pizza, the rice with mushrooms and the filet mignon. The wine selection could be a little more extensive but none the less there is a good variety.

Satisfied but not spectacular
DESCRIPTION: The food was good, and I would have to agree that the wine list was weak. However the Chocolate Hazelnut cake that was recomended above was definitely very good. Both service and price were reasonable as well.

Wine Spectator Award?
DESCRIPTION: One would think that a restaurant with a Wine Spectator award for its wine list would know have some rudimentary knowledge of wine service. All the red wine is baked -- served at least 10 dedgree too warm -- and precludes having a civilized meal. I suppose the good news is that talented chef Jose Andres has an unlimited supply of red wine reduction sauce.

DESCRIPTION: The new menu at the restaurant is fantastic. The ambiance is great, not very noisy and has great music. Definitely a worthwhile trip to Capitol Hill!

Romantic
DESCRIPTION: The new menu and chef makes Park Cafe one of the finest dining experiences in Washington. The food and presentation rivals the best Washington has to offer at a fraction of the price. Also, easy parking.

Nice to treat yourself once in a while
DESCRIPTION: Unfortunately they can't seem to hold on to waitstaff for too long, but the service is always good, given the turnaround. The owner is very welcoming, the art work is a great topic of conversation, and if only there were more cafes and people around the park you could truly make belive you were in Europe. The one thing that is not left to the imagination is the food, seems to be reliable and worth exploring this hidden gem of the District!

Good food but overpriced
DESCRIPTION: The cafe has a nice ambience and the service is good, but the menu is overpriced for what you get. We ordered the green salad for $10 and got merely a small pile of mixed greens with palm and artichoke hearts. A mussels appetizer was $14 for a healthy portion of mussels but nothing special with the broth. Unfortunately, that was a reoccurring theme throughout the dinner. There was nothing special to make it worth the inflated price. The entrees, while tasty, was not entirely well prepared. I asked for medium for duck breast and it came medium rare (some parts just downright rare) while my husband's tuna steak (the special) were thin cuts of tuna. It seemd that a tuna steak had been butterflied to cut costs. I felt that for the price, everything should have been perfect but ultimately, the ambience did not make it worth the price.

Taste - Spectacular!
DESCRIPTION: Baked crab cake appetizer with no fillers - savored the aroma of crab and herbs, no sauce needed - very juicy. Finally a REAL crabcake in DC. The hangar steak special is a MUST try - tender enough to cut with a fork - I could have sworn the cut of meat was a filet, not a hangar steak. As I sat there savoring every bite, I could not help but wonder "who is this chef and where did she come from?". I am from New Orleans and finally found a fabulous restaurant to bring guests.

Horrible
DESCRIPTION: Don't go. It is a beautiful little spot on the Park, but maybe if enough people don't go, it will have to change hands. Only house wine by the glass. Waiter told us their wasn't any Pinot Noir, then we heard owner say he had a brand new one and gave next table tastings. We had to ask about our salads after they were not delivered twenty minutes after ordering. (Our waiter was no where in sight, so we had to flag down one of the other servers and this is a tiny place!!) Salads were very average. Not enough pears on pear/gorgonzola salad. After another long wait our Paella for two was served in a smallish cast iron skillet. It was not good. We each ate several very dry mussels, some very dry chicken, very dry sausage, very dry rice, you get the message. It was very dry. The shrimp were okay but not good enough to cover for the rest of the dish. The dish is $46. It should be spectacular for that price. One of the mussels was still shut. This should never happen. We told the waiter clearing the dishes (still not our waiter)that it wasn't very good. He said we should have quit eating it. Nice. We paid our bill and got as quickly as possible. Nothing like a bad expensive meal to ruin a Saturday nights.

DESCRIPTION: Worst bar/club I've been to in DC. One bathroom for men/women. All the bouncers were rude as was management. $10 mixed drinks, UGH! Around the corner they're $6, what's up with that?

Fantastic food!
DESCRIPTION: We went there for a night of tapas and red wine and left pleasantly satisfied. The service at the bar was not the best, but the food more than made up for it! It got kind of noisy as the night drew on.

Cilantro: Great addition to Georgetown
DESCRIPTION: Great food & great service. Would surely visit again. Read the more famous reviews by Where and Post, Hoyas, etc... and they were right on the mark. It's a five star place and we really enjoyed ourselves, even with "one bathroom for each sex"! Go there and be impressed!

DESCRIPTION: I went with a bunch of friends and we had a good time. Most restaurants are quick to rush us out but when we wanted to stay and have some more drinks the hostess took us upstairs to their lounge for dessert and coffee. It was a great friday night hang out. We're going back this weekend cause our friend booked the lounge for a party.

Light and mouth watering
DESCRIPTION: The menu is perfect for those looking for a light meal on a hot evening in Washington DC. We were headed to the movies at the Lowes Cineplex next door but the show we wanted to see was sold out. We stopped in to Cafe Ole and enjoyed a grilled tuna sandwich while sitting out in the sidewalk section rather than indoors. It was a fun place to people watch and kill an hour while waiting for the next show. We will now plan to dine at the cafe before we go to any movie at that theatre.

INCREDIBLE!
DESCRIPTION: I highly recommend you try Cafe Ole. Once you do, you'll be hooked! Great food, even better prices. The food is also served lightning fast right at your table, then dishes are cleared and tables kept clean! It has become a goal of mine to try every single thing on the menu, and I am well on my way! Wraps and salads are the best. You won't be dissappointed, I promise.
